This is the happiest I have been in my professional career, but I would never have considered interviewing at this school had Roger not strongly encouraged me to apply. He knew better than did I that this school and the community would be an excellent match for my skills and experience. Roger’s considerable experience in education and as a private school head contributed greatly to his effectiveness with the dynamics of our group. Our school is quite new and the board has only been doing retreat planning for the past three years, only setting annual goals. Roger moved us beyond annual planning to a five year planning process quite successfully. His interpersonal communication skills are quite evident when he leads a group. He provided advice and guidance while always placing the responsibility for decisions made on the group, so that ownership is developed in a substantial way. I rate Roger as an outstanding Board facilitator.
